Entry Rules

This competition is for entertainment purposes only and does not result in any monetary compensation, contracts or residual income.

You may enter as many recipes as you wish, but each must be announced by a separate entry form. If we have not received your entry form prior to Midnight on Thursday, July 30, 2010, your recipe cannot be entered in the competition.

To enter a prepared dish (professionals only) for the competition, it must be received on Saturday, August  2010 at the event, no later than 12:30 pm.

You may substitute any other side dish such as vegetable casserole, pasta salad or other, as long as the main ingredient is vegetable based.

Categories:

There are 12 different food categories under which you may enter. These categories are listed above under "Dish category" in the drop-down box.

Classifications:

Judges will cast their vote in two separate classifications: amateur and professional. You may enter several dishes (or recipes), but all must be within the same classification.

Amateur: Make sure your recipe lists both ingredients as well as directions.

Professional: Have enough of your dish available - the more people can taste it, the more votes you may get.

Prizes:

Amateur: Awards for First, Second and Third Places in each Category.

Professional: Awards for First, Second and Third Places in each Category.

Judging:

Points will be rewarded for visual presentation, freshness of product, flavor and creativity.

Amateur: Entries (recipes) will be judged by creative use of salads, fruits or vegetables. Amateurs will not be able to bring in the actual dish for sampling.

Professional: Entries will be judged by Celebrity judges as well as the public. Winners are determined by points, 50% of which are from Celebrities' votes, 50% are public choice.
